
Kate Fitzgerald is a business leader, entrepreneur, speaker, and former Division I beach volleyball student-athlete committed to building strong teams, meaningful opportunities, and sustainable growth.
During her time at Arizona State University, Kate helped the beach volleyball program earn its first NCAA Championship appearance while serving as Student-Athlete Advisory Committee President and representing more than 650 student-athletes. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Sciences and a Master's Degree in Business Entrepreneurship and Venture Development, combining the discipline of athletics with a passion for leadership and innovation.
Kate’s career has centered on turning ideas into action. She founded VBAmerica, a nationally licensed volleyball lifestyle clothing brand, and later helped co-found SPORTx, an athlete-focused venture studio utilizing NIL through entrepreneurship and career development. Through SPORTx, she has helped secure a $2m+ partnership with GoDaddy, mentored 500+ athletes, and supported initiatives designed to prepare athletes for success beyond competition.
Today, Kate works at PepsiCo, where she leads territory growth across more than 700 accounts. Her work spans strategic selling, customer partnerships, marketing activations, team initiatives, and new-business development. She also helps lead local strategy and activations for emerging brands, including poppi.
Across every role, Kate is most energized by bringing people together. Her strengths lie in team building, leadership development, public speaking, relationship management, and creating the structure needed to move ambitious ideas forward.
As the host of COMMITTED, Kate brings athletes, coaches, and industry leaders together for honest conversations about recruiting, NIL, mental health, leadership, and life beyond sport. Her goal is to give athletes and families the guidance, perspective, and support to navigate the ever-changing sports industry.
Whether she is speaking to a room, mentoring an athlete, developing a partnership, or leading a business initiative, Kate approaches every opportunity with curiosity, energy, and a belief that meaningful success begins with people.
